THE RIGHT TOOLS... With a focus on safety!

In response to recognised safety issues associated with the use of quad-bikes, NEWA has recently acquired three all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), comprising 2 Kubota diesel ATVs/side by sides and an ARGO amphibious vehicle for work at the water’s edge.
Partially funded through grant opportunities, these vehicles will allow our Biosecurity Officers and Weed Controllers to cover our County more efficiently and safely, (especially in these currently wet conditions!).
All vehicles are fitted with safety beacons, seatbelts, duress alarms and roll-over protection. Together with professional operator training, these features ensure our staff are as safe as possible.
