NEWA Biosecurity Officers - up up and away!
05th Aug 2021
On a freezing winter's day in July, our Biosecurity Officers underwent drone training with Total RPA. Staff received their Remote Pilot License for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. This will assist in inspections of properties where it is hard to drive to location such as deep in gorges or up on steep, hilly, rocky or treed areas. Our Biosecurity Officers are working hard to assist farmers in any way they can to identify priority weeds or new incursions of prohibited plants or unknown plant species.
