Notice of Exhibition - Operational Plan - 5th May 2023
2023–2024 DRAFT OPERATIONAL PLAN,
ANNUAL BUDGET & LONG-TERM FINANCIAL PLAN
New England County Council, trading as the New England Weeds Authority (NEWA) have placed on public exhibition for the community’s review and feedback the Draft 2023-2024 Operational Plan and Annual Budget. The Plan includes the Statement of Revenue Policy, forecast Cash Flow and anticipated Borrowings, required to enable delivery of the Operational Plan. A 10 year Long Term Financial Plan is provided.
The Draft 2023-2024 Operational Plan is for the seventh (7th) year of Council’s 2017-2027 Business Activity Strategic Plan (BASP), and details information about Council’s projects, services and key programs in the current financial year.
Please consider the Draft Plan and, should you wish, provide Council with your comments:
Availability of Documents
Draft copies of the Operational Plan are available on Council’s website for download, or in printed format from Council’s Offices at 2/129 Rusden Street, Armidale; between the hours of 9:00am until 3:00pm.

Submissions may be made online by clicking on this link, by accessing the Contact Us page of Council’s website www.newa.com.au, or by writing to the General Manager, PO Box 881, Armidale NSW 2350.
Exhibition Period
The Operational Plan will be on exhibition for 28 days, until 5 June 2023.
Following exhibition and consideration of any public comments that may be received, this matter will be considered by Council for final adoption at its Ordinary Meeting to be held on 27 June 2023.
