Weed Spray Operator - Casual
Reporting to the Team Leader Weed Control, the casual Weed Spray Operator will be responsible for working collaboratively within the Weed Spray Team and with the Biosecurity Officers Team, to deliver high-level site-specific chemical application for the control of weeds throughout the Local Control Area (LCA). This casual role suits staff who seek seasonal employment or who have other farm, rural or carers’ duties, to name just a few.

About you
You will be someone who thrives working in a physically demanding outdoor role. You enjoy working in a close-knit team and have good interpersonal and communication skills. You always have safety at front of mind, can identify hazards and you are not a risk taker. We are seeking someone who takes pride in doing a great job and wants to contribute to ensure NEWA meets community, customer, landholder and member council expectations.
Here’s what we’re offering
- Hourly pay rate of $34.80 (including casual loading and Adverse Working Conditions Allowance (AWCA);
- 11% superannuation;
- 38 ordinary-hours per week;
- Overtime payments, as approved;
- Uniform and PPE provided;
- 9-day fortnight.
